The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats of Europe Group hosted a Transatlantic Discussion on Cuba and Venezuela at the European Parliament on April 9, 2019. Below is the video of the entire event.
Meeting was kicked off and moderated by Pavel Telička, a former diplomat, businessman, EU Commissioner and now Vice President of the European Parliament. The key note speaker was former U.S. Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart. The panel discussion included Orlando José Viera Blanco, Ambassador of Venezuela to Canada; Rosa María Payá Acevedo, of the Cuba Decide campaign; and Francisco José Eguiguren Praeli, IACHR Commissioner for Human Rights Defenders.
